One final comment: think about this: a similar era ES-175 single P-90 is selling in this condition for $4500. See if you can find one! Especially one this clean. I find it to be the perfect size for comfort- not too big or small. Could be an amazing jazz player with heavier gauge flats. It plays like a dream and has awesome acoustic resonance. The tuning machines are new Grover Deluxes, which hold tune much better than original 3x3 strip tuners, and no extra holes or routing was done to accomodate them (I actually have some single-line Kluson Deluxed strip tuners, if you must) it resides in what is likely its original brown "gator" softshell case with brown felt lining (EX condition) single P-90 simply screams blues or jazz trapezoid inlays, 5-ply PG and bound neck are features of this 135 It has a smaller body than an ES150, but with same nicer appointments With serial stamped V7415-24, only around 200 of these were made in ’56 (compared to 3100 ES-125's- it is really quite rare and undervalued)ĬOOL COOL COOL. 24.5 " scale, Full "C" neck profile and 1 11/16 inch neck nut. Recently setup, plays AWESOME! Back of neck is smooth as silk and glossy, frets and fingerboard are very good. 1956 - 1958, onlly 450 total production, and the name, ES-135, was later used on a thinline reissue (this 16" is not a thinline, it is full-depth) EX + condition w/ light finish checking and just a bit of wear, and perfectly-aged binding the dog-eared P-90 pickup, 5-ply beveled pickguard, perfect nickel trapeze tailpiece, white end-pin, gorgeous brazilian RW compensated bridge, truss rod cover and patina'd gold bonnet knobs appear original.

Renamed from ES-130, this rare guitar was only made 3 years. Here's the info from the listing I purchased this from on Reverb: Includes likely original "gator" softshell case. Great acoustic sound too (much better than my ES-175). I've got Pure Nickel 12 round-wounds on it and it plays & sounds like a dream. It is 100% ready to play, gig, record, etc. Frets have a bit of wear but have plenty of life in 'em.

Suffice to say I was blown away when I received this guitar. I purchased recently from a vintage collector and I will quote his listing in its entirety below. Original except for the tuners (which in my opinion is great as I've always had issues w/ tuners on ES-125). Sort of a well-appointed ES-125 (neck binding, trapezoidal inlays) or non-cutaway ES-175.
